works often in progress but not so much at this point in time, blame the commonwealth. here are some photos i took in order to give purpose to my day:
i made a couple of drawings recently that were attempts at a sort of field of hatching, drawing in a .zip file. photoshop seems unable to photomerge the scanned parts. and i have given up on it. i like the messy scan more anyways.
the thrill of photoshop
never know where it will auto align
also some pages from a zine under slow construction:
i know it has been some time, you have to understand it is only every so often a video game comes along and ruins all efforts for creative endeavour. here is a jpeg to help soothe the degree of abandonment.
you see, something is in the works. not just that one big drawing that will not die, much like a certain video game which seemingly never ends.
man on right got tummy tuck and a small chest adjustment.
reworked, now with more HD rib fidelity
this wheel barrow brings home the grain.
yeah i dont know how to draw a wheel barrow, but im learning and one day i will master them.
post reading some other artists fine thoughts and images, can you guess who?
Inch worm, inch worm Measuring the marigolds You and your arithmetic You’ll probably go far.
fuck the rails
just this guy up in the top left, he wants to be your friend.
rails again and giving way
life in space continues on the back burner of ideas.
gutsfield to infinity, this is a stupid drawing, all 2h 0.3mm lead, i make it while watching tv cause im too lazy to work on the big drawings.
more sketches, random, wheelbarrow studies to explain crop gathering techniques. re-worked bits of anatomy, tidying up this big bastard some, and to no end the hatching which would look as if i did nothing at all, thats the magic, looks like i added nothing since the last post, but in fact spent hours drawing little lines and erasing off some unwanted smudge, wanted smudge, fine smudge and intentional smudge re-applied in order of value.
what’s new here… well there is a new leg in the NEVERENDINGWIP. and i worked on that leg to no end, some prior me came in before and drew a tiny tiny knee on that man, and it looked silly, and more wrong than is acceptable. funny yes, but wrong. the knee has been adjusted with a scalpel. and and…. yes his legs are long, but hey, el greco up yours too. also, random shit.
and hey, why not listen to someone smart say why emotion is central to art and he even means urinals in galleries or something about religion being these spaces of wonder before the art was moved out to the galleries, fuck it, or just listen to sleep.
