still mainly posting just to flickr. as i am working mostly on the big big drawing, and my focus is a bit out of the internet and more crammed into paper. there will come a big overhaul with this new works completion, other news will have more light blown down on it and itll all be up on here for sure. so. why post at all? i mean isnt it a cardinal rule not to post the “sorry but i havent posted shit and here i am posting nothing of content”. well this is simply an advertisement for linux today. i was listening to the bbc advertise on behalf of micrsoft, windows 7 is out, so lets go to the pr people of m$ and ask them for a review, and in so, the bbc mentioned linux, m$ people chucked a bunch of bullshit about netbook statistics out, and returned to the sales pitch. that sorta shit makes me sick. i had windows on two laptops i have bought in my life and on both i removed windows and placed linux on it instead. i in fact bought my netbook because i knew it had good linux hardware compatibility, and not due to m$ bs being on it. so end the negatives. the new ubuntu is about to be released, and i am using the release candidate, it is by far the best OS i have probably used, its is shining, fast and so far reliable. on my netbook i have on all the crap, the shadows, effects, animations and so on, the default and it is still super quick with 20 tabs open and music running, torrents downloading. im so pleased with its performance. so… menglef.org would like to throw its 2oz out for the open source folk and say !!#get ubuntu#!!.
